Any restrictions or limitations or prohibiting any use or reducing the permissible weights as set forth in Section 10.12.010 shall be done by proper order of the city engineer and he shall cause to be erected and maintained signs designating his determination in each end of the portion of such public street of the city affected thereby, and no determination shall be effective unless and until such signs are erected and maintained.
