5.22.010 Purpose and Intent.
This ordinance is enacted to regulate the practice of certain occupations that, by their nature, present a heightened public safety risk to the public.
A. For-Hire Vehicle Driver/Operator means It is unlawful for any person to drive a for-hire vehicle and pick up any passenger within the City without first obtaining an occupational permit therefore in the manner provided by this chapter.
B. Locksmith means It is unlawful for any person, to act as a locksmith in the City without first obtaining an occupational permit pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
C. Solicitor means It is unlawful for any person to act as a solicitor, within the meaning and application of this chapter, without first obtaining an occupational permit in the manner provided by this chapter. (Ord. 1387 §1, 2012).
