All fire hydrants shall meet the specifications of the city. Fire hydrants to be installed may be obtained from the city at a price established by resolution of the city council or furnished by the developer or contractor. The installation of the fire hydrant may be accomplished by the developer through a licensed contractor or by payment to the city and all installations shall be approved by the city engineer and the fire chief.
