A. Adopted. Those certain National and State Electrical Codes and Standards adopted by RCW 19.28.010 as modified and supplemented by the rules and regulations of the State Department of Labor and Industries and as further supplemented by this Chapter regulations are adopted and shall be known as the Electrical Code of the City of Lacey and shall be cited as such and will be referred to herein as “this code.”

B. Purpose. The purpose of this code is to provide minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation, and maintenance or use of electrical systems and equipment.

C. Scope. This code shall regulate the design, construction, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. (Ord. 1225 §10, 2004).
