A. All officers of the city, before entering upon the performance of their duties, shall take an oath or affirmation for the faithful performance of their duties. They shall be covered by a surety bond or bonds conditioned on the honest and faithful performance of their official duties. Such coverage may be provided by way of a blanket faithful performance bond covering all officers and employees of the city so long as the amount of such blanket bond is at least $2,000,000.00 per loss.
